To the best of my knowledge, The Sultans, on this record, were Tommy "Cosmo" Cosdon (lead), Ralph Zehnder, Mike Woodring, George Fawbush, Vince Tabler, Ronnie Deetch, Bill Crabb and Frank Rush.
Mike's father, Charles Woodring, was a prolific songwriter and had a lot of great song recorded by local groups in the late 1950's and 60's. I am not sure that he is ever really given the thanks that he is deserved for the great songs he had created. This one is the granddaddy of them all.
This was the first Louisville record to chart at no. 1 in the Louisville market, charting on both WAKY (Silver Dollar Survey) and WKLO (Kentuckiana Countdown).
